Years ago TX-66 was only 2 lanes wide before it grew to over 60,000 residents.  Lakeview Parkway (TX-66) now passes a lot of traffic over 6 lanes.  The Bush Turnpike has 4 sets of exits into Rowlett: Merritt, Liberty Grove, TX-66/Lakeview, Miller, and I-30.  DART light rail train station in Rowlett is the eastern terminus and boasts over 500 Park n Ride spaces.
